great green hotels/ green amusement parks/green resorts. in the midwest please!! HELP?

my girlfriends birthday is comming up and i wanted to schedule a surprise trip we can take with her 7yo child. we are from chicago and she is very eco friendly. i was wondering if i could get some suggestions on a great place to get away for a weekend that also has great activities for kids. preferably in the midwest. a fun hotel/ green amusement park/ kid friendly resort would be great…. hope to hear back from anyone…. thanks!

Lake Geneva is a nice place to have a getaway with your girl and her little girl. Lakefront fun and small town charm can be expected.
